Embed Dubsado forms in ClickUp projects

Ever since I started using (and obsessing over) Dubsado, I’ve been super organised and finding neat little hacks that makes me feel so organised and happy. I’ve found a few tricks of my own too, and this one isn’t so much of a hack, but something that no-one thinks of doing but is so useful.

DUBSADO

If this is the first time you’re hearing about Dubsado and wondering why I’m a fan, you’ve got to try it out. Dubsado is an awesome CRM & lead management tool for creative professionals (web designers, photographers, virtual assistants, marketing agencies, coaches, copywriters, wedding planners, etcetera).

If you fancy trying it out, you can use Dubsado for free (3 clients included until you’ll be asked to upgrade your plan), and then get 30% off your first month or year. Add the code hellodawn to checkout before you upgrade.

If you’re not using forms yet, you’re missing out on one of the best features of Dubsado! Forms can be branded and designed using their drag and drop interface, and embedded on your website.

If you’re new to Dubsado and still learning the basics, you can start by creating an enquiry form to start off with. This will automatically add your leads to Dubsado.

CLICKUP

If you’ve ever used or heard of Asana or Active Collab, ClickUp is pretty similar but goes way beyond their capabilities. I think Asana and Basecamp are pretty great (I’ve used them when collaborating with other freelancers and agencies), but ClickUp ticks every single box for what I need in a project management tool. They’ve even launched their automation in beta and I’m so excited to try this.

Embed your Dubsado forms in ClickUp

What makes this tip even better, is that it isn’t just a blank form. When I tested this trick, I was pretty impressed. Each completed form (a form submission, for example) has its own link, so embedding this shows the form submission with the fields populated. How great is that?!

  1. Head over to your Dubsado account and find the form you need. You’ll need to find the completed form in your project rather than the form templates (otherwise it will just be a blank form you’re embedding).
  2. Go to Projects ▹ Combined and click on the project you’re looking for

Embed a form, public proposal or contract:

  1. Click on the forms tab to view all forms for that project
  2. Hover your mouse on the form you need, and click View
  3. Click the Copy Link button to save the URL to your clipboard
  4. Open your ClickUp account and load the ClickUp project or list you have in mind
  5. Click on + View and create a new tab, selecting the type as Embed
  6. Paste your Dubsado form URL under Embed URL and click Save
  7. To highlight this tab, right-click on the tab and click Pin View

Embed an invoice:

  1. Click on the invoices tab and click on the invoice you want to embed
  2. Click the Send button and select Copy URL in the dropdown list
  3. Open your ClickUp account and load the ClickUp project or list you have in mind
  4. Click on + View and create a new tab, selecting the type as Embed
  5. Paste your Dubsado form URL under Embed URL and click Save
  6. To highlight this tab, right-click on the tab and click Pin View

That’s it for today’s tech tip!

If you have any Dubsado or ClickUp questions, I would love to talk about how you’re using it and how it can serve your online biz better. Head over to my contact page and send a message! I love having daily chats with my Zoom-ies (this has got to start becoming a thing, right?).
